serving our neigbors and visitors in Shawnee-on-Delaware, Minisink Hills, and other communities in Middle Smithfield and Smithfield Township
We are an all volunteer organization chartered February 14, 1945 and still dedicated to preserving life and property from fire and other hazards in the villages of Shawnee-on-Delaware and Minisink Hills and surrounding Middle Smithfield Township and Smithfield Township areas. As we celebrate 80 years in servicing the needs of our community, and in cooperation with neighboring fire departments, we look forward to continuing to provide the level of service and professionalism that is expected of our fire company. We are volunteers proudly protecting where we live, work, and play.
Being an all-volunteer company requires our members to raise funds in order for us to operate efficiently. The same people who fight fires and respond to emergencies are the ones who help serve food at dinners, staff our events, solicit donations, and live/work within the community. Shawnee Fire Company Information
Members serve as active fire fighters or provide administrative, fundraising, event, or monetary support. No experience is needed; members receive training and equipment to support their mission. We pride ourselves in maintaining quality equipment to serve the residents and guests in our community. The new station houses five apparati: 2 brush trucks, 1 tanker, 1 engine, and 1 supply pumper. The original station houses a rescue truck.

Being an all-volunteer company requires our members to raise funds in order for us to operate efficiently.
We appreciate the support of our community and major contributors: Shawnee Mountain Ski Area and the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort.
The company's operations are supported in part by funding from the municipalities it serves, events, and, monetary contributions.
Social Hall
We have placed rentals of our Social Hall on hold for the foreseeable future. We appreciate your support through secure donations via PayPal Giving Fund (no fees) or by checks sent to the Shawnee Fire Company.
