in 2023, the Shawnee Fire Company will team up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®)—the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week for over 100 years—to promote the Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention^TM.” The campaign works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take when cooking to keep themselves and those around them safe.
